Ontario’s Blue Mountain Village is known for doing winter loud and proud. PRIDE Blue Mountain — the largest winter Pride festival in the province — hits the slopes for its 7th annual celebration of diversity, inclusion and friendship this March 1 to 3. With a newly expanded array of entertainment and family-friendly activities, it promises to top the swirls of ice-cream snow on the mountains with all the rainbow sprinkles you can eat.
In addition to opportunities to ski, skate, hike, snowshoe and more, the Pride festivities kick off with the opening ceremonies and flag-raising. The fun continues with DJs, groove dancing, makeup makeover, a performance by Christine Jackson, Fan-ography with Vibeology, the Snow Queen Drag Soiree, and the Taylor Swift-inspired Eras Party of your wildest dreams, featuring appearances by Perla, Van Goth and Destiny Doll.
There’s also a wide variety of après-ski activities adults 19-plus can enjoy, including the Welcome Party at Axed, the Laugh Out Proud Comedy Show, Bing-OH!, Divas After Dark, a Mamma Mia! dance party, the Leather & Lace after party and Drag Brunch. The highlight of the weekend is Saturday’s (March 2) big show: the Après Ski Kiki, featuring Rosé from RuPaul’s Drag Race and her Canada’s Drag Race sisters Aurora Matrix and Jada Shada Hudson.
Book your PRIDE weekend now and save 10 percent on lodging and 20 percent on tickets to the Après Ski Kiki. For more information on how you can ski, play, slay and stay this winter, visit the Blue Mountain website.
