The tune is about "believing in yourself and going for the kill"

Vancouver alt-pop sensation Prado was named one of Exclaim!'s New Faves in November off the strength of her debut singles, and she's continued to prove why with subsequent releases, including new track "Gucci Store."

The song starts off hot as Prado sings, "I'm not gonna play with n****s anymore / I'm just gonna go buy myself the Gucci store," and it only gets more fiery from there. Atop a series of killer synth hooks and crisp percussion, Prado asserts herself as a confident creative force, weaving elements of pop, electronic and hip-hop into a compelling performance with a sound all her own.

The single comes with an accompanying video that finds Prado decked out in a series of glamorous outfits, passionately dancing in a yellow room and lounging atop a BMW.

Says Prado about the song, "'Gucci Store' is about believing in yourself and going for the kill. Ever since I played the lead synth producing the demo, I knew it was a song that was gonna be confident, crazy and in your face. The video reflects that bad bitch commander energy entirely with the leather looks and yellow graffiti wall."

"Gucci Store" comes in advance of her forthcoming debut EP, set for release later this year via tmwrk records
