At last, Playboi Carti has revealed a release date for anticipated new album Whole Lotta Red. The artist's follow-up to 2018's Die Lit arrives December 25.
Carti took to Twitter just after midnight today to break the news, launching a digital pre-order and merch line behind the album, along with its Slash zine-inpsired artwork found above.
Confirming the Christmas Day release of Whole Lotta Red, Carti tweeted the date "12/15," which also appears on the album's cover if you squint hard enough.
Carti first announced Whole Lotta Red months after the 2018 release of Die Lit. Since the former's arrival, the artist has shared no solo singles, a streak broken by the arrival of "@ Meh" in April.
That isn't to say Carti's been quiet. In the time since, he's appeared on songs from Tyler, the Creator, Drake, Solange and more.
While a tracklist for Whole Lotta Red has yet to be shared, you will find below that Carti's social media activity points to appearances from Kid Cudi and Travis Scott.
