A Place To Bury Strangers Plot Massive Tour

BY Josiah HughesPublished Sep 9, 2008

Commonly known as "the loudest band in New York,” A Place To Bury Strangers have met some problems from the sheer loudness of their shoegazing. It even got to the point where, earlier this year, a ten-inch single couldn’t be pressed because of its monster volumes.

Let’s hope they don’t do too much damage to the P.A. systems on the road, as the band are launching a massive world tour that begins in Colorado this weekend and ends in England at the beginning of December. On the way, they’ll play Canadian dates in Toronto, Vancouver and Montreal, where they’ll be supporting Shellac. In November, they’ll be touring Europe with MGMT.

A remix of the band’s "I Know I See You Single” will be featured in an upcoming episode of The L Word. Let’s hope you can hear the steamy dialogue over the loudness.
