A Place To Bury Strangers' New Single Delayed Because Its Too Loud

A Place to Bury Strangers’ new ten-inch single has been delayed because it is too fucking loud.

While manufacturing the vinyl release of "To Fix the Gash in Your Head”/"Ocean” off APTBS’s widely acclaimed 2007 self-titled debut, the pressing plant broke down because of the excessive noise found in the two tracks. A spokesperson for the shoegaze rockers told NME the "red noise levels” — those that exceed suggested and weak-ass volume levels — on the songs’ master tapers caused the pressing plant to malfunction.

Now "To Fix the Gash in Your Head”/"Ocean” will hit shops May 12 and can be ordered through Rough Trade’s online shop.

Well, if you are going to dub yourself "the loudest band in New York," you better live up it. And in this case, it seems A Place to Bury Strangers have.
