Phil Elverum said goodbye to his Microphones moniker way back in 2003, but the Pacific Northwest indie hero is now reviving the long-dormant name.
Elverum has announced that he will perform as the Microphones — rather than Mount Eerie — as part of a hometown show in Anacortes, WA, on July 20. The event is being billed as a concert and dinner event called "What the Heck?"
In addition to the Microphones, the bill also features Black Belt Eagle Scout, Little Wings, Pounding Serfs, Lois and others. However, tickets sold out in no time, so good luck trying to get into this one.
