Late soul singer Amy Winehouse is remembered with the Amy Winehouse Foundation, which targets drug and alcohol abuse in young people. Now, Libertines singer Peter Doherty has released a single to support that organization. It's called "Flags of the Old Regime."
The song is an elegiac ballad with soft strums and mournful strings. Doherty wrote it as a tribute to Winehouse (who he was friends with), and it finds the singer reflecting on fame and death. Hear it below.
The single will officially be out on March 9 through Walk Tall Recordings. All proceeds will go to the Amy Winehouse Foundation.
