Pete Berwick

After 24 years of performing and recording, Pete Berwick has developed a consistently wide-ranging brand of songwriting that stretches from doleful country to straight-up rock'n'roll. Along with a stint opening for the man with the world's largest belt-buckle, Charlie Daniels, Berwick has worked as a staff songwriter at Kingbird Publishing in Nashville and has released a handful of independent albums during the past two decades, garnering attention in Nashville and his hometown of Chicago. Complementing Berwick's diverse songwriting on Only Bleeding, his fourth full-length release, are the capable talents of his backing band, which includes musicians that have worked with the likes of Brian Wilson and Lonnie Brooks. Only Bleeding balances gloomy ballads with humour-infused rockers, delivering well-executed roadhouse music.
