In the fall, David Bazan announced that he was planning to stop releasing music under his birth name and instead resurrect his influential rock band Pedro the Lion. Now, he's announced a full tour for the project.
The trek includes Canadian stops in Vancouver and Toronto, along with dates all over the United States.
In a press release, Bazan explained that he was growing tired of working on his own. "I missed the energy of making music with other people on stage and constantly traveling alone was starting to really sting," he said. "I needed to be in a band again".
Initially, he had planned to tour with a group dubbed the David Bazan Band, but as he worked through the process of rehearsing with other musicians he realized he was returning to Pedro the Lion. "To my surprise, it felt a bit like coming home," he said.
Pedro the Lion are expected to release a new album down the road. Until then, you can check out the full list of tour dates below.
