Vancouver's Peach Pit are edging closer towards their sophomore album. And today, they are doing that by not only mapping out a massive headlining tour, but giving us the new single "Shampoo Bottles."

The tour kicks off this spring in Calgary on April 24. From there, Peach Pit will play Canadian dates in Edmonton, Saskatoon, Winnipeg, Montreal and Toronto. There are also multiple stops in the U.S., as well in the U.K. and Europe.

The entire tour wraps up with a pair of BC shows, with Peach Pit playing Victoria on June 24 and then two shows at Vancouver's Commodore Ballroom on July 11.

UPDATE (2/10, 2 p.m. EST): Peach Pit have now added a second Calgary date on April 23, as well as moved their Edmonton venue. You can see the updated schedule below.

Tickets go on sale Friday (January 31) at 10 a.m. local time, and you can see the full schedule below.

"We couldn't be more excited to announce our upcoming spring tour and our first big one in over a year!" Peach Pit said in a statement. "We've spent the past 12 months writing and recording, which is fun don't get me wrong, but with that comes a lot of time spent at home watching Netflix. Gonna be playing a few cities we haven't been to before as well as offering some VIP packages so you can come hang with us before the show and get some merch that nooooobody else can. Seeya soon Dad!"

In addition to the tour announcement, Peach Pit have let loose their new single "Shampoo Bottles," which comes alongside a Lester Lyons-Hookham video. The track was produced by John Congleton (St. Vincent, Lana Del Rey).

"Shampoo Bottles" will appear on Peach Pit's as-yet-unannounced sophomore album, which will arrive via Columbia, and follows their previously shared song "Feelin' Low (F*ckboy Blues)."

Speaking of the band's latest, Peach Pit singer Neil Smith stated: "'Shampoo Bottles' is a song about the stuff my ex-girlfriend left at my apartment after we broke up (deodorant, shampoo, cell phone charger) and how even after I'd used up all the soap in the bottle and the deodorant in the stick, I still didn't throw them out for a while. The video, directed by our longtime collaborator Lester Lyons-Hookham, has four protagonists each mourning the end of something. It shows how coping with a loss can make you do weird things."
