Paul Murphy fronts both Wintersleep and Postdata, and now the East Coast musician has announced his latest endeavour: Cape Records, a new record label.

The label's first release will be a reissue of the 2004 album Light by Kary, the former band fronted by Murphy and featuring Wintersleep bandmate Tim D'Eon on guitar, along with Mark D'Eon on drums and Jesse Luke on bass.

Murphy co-founded Cape Records with his brother Michael Murphy and manager Adrienne Butcher. "We put so much of our hearts and soul into Light and there's a lot of beauty to it. It was just something we really loved and worked really hard to make. It should be out there in the world," Murphy said in a statement. "Cape is a label that can be a medium for records like this. Hopefully, we can be supporting bands like Kary was at the time."

Light is available to purchase in various vinyl and CD formats here.

Next up for Cape is Michael Murphy's debut album, Underneath Everything, which he's releasing under the name Michael Terrance. It's out December 9.
