Paul McCartney Unveils Expanded Edition of 'New'

BY Alex HudsonPublished Sep 17, 2014

Paul McCartney's New is about to get even newer. The Beatles legend will be reissuing his 2013 solo album this fall in an expanded collector's edition that includes some extra tracks.

Due out on October 28, this juiced-up version expands the album to a whopping three discs: two CDs, plus a DVD. The first of these features New's original deluxe tracklist (which includes the bonus cuts "Turned Out" and "Get Me Out of Here"). The second CD includes a few rarities and unheard studio tunes, plus four live recordings.

As for the DVD, it contains a making-of documentary about the album directed by Don Letts, an interview, live performances and music videos. The DVD runtime is an hour and 58 minutes. See the full tracklist below.

All in all, this looks a lot like the back catalogue reissues that McCartney has been doing lately through his Archive Collection. The difference, of course, is that New came out just last year while most of his Archive Collection albums are decades old.
