Paul McCartney has promised that he has a new album on the way, and sure enough, the legendary former Beatle has officially confirmed the impending arrival of his latest solo effort. New is out on October 15 through Concord Music Group.

The album features 12 songs, and a press release notes that he worked on these with "new collaborators." As previously revealed, these collaborators include super-producers Ethan Johns, Mark Ronson, Paul Epworth, and Giles Martin. That's the album cover up above.

Below, stream the title cut, which channels the sunny piano pop spirit of much of Sir Paul's classic '60s work. It was produced by Ronson. In a statement about the song, Macca said, "We can do what we want, we can live as we choose."

Although the album only features 12 songs, the iTunes pre-order lists 14 tracks, meaning that there likely a couple of digital bonus cuts.

More details about New will be announced in the coming weeks.
