Paramore Announce "Almost Remix Album" 'Re: This Is Why'

"Some of the songs have been remixed sort of classically, while others were reworked or rewritten. It's incredible to hear all our worlds colliding"

Paramore are getting into the remix game (kinda?) with Re: This Is Why, an "almost remix album" of this year's This Is Why that's arriving this Friday, October 6.

Announcing the album on their socials, the band wrote, "We've long wanted to recognize the connection we have with some of the artists who've influenced us as a band and/or who have cited our band as an influence. Re: This Is Why is almost a remix album. Some of the songs have been remixed sort of classically, while others were reworked or rewritten. It's incredible to hear all our worlds colliding."

The band had been hinting at some kind of release in the past few weeks, including a cryptic iPhone note that featured dates with questions like "10.2 - Why Is This?" and "10.6 - Is This Why?"

The trio had also been sharing short snippets of songs on Discord, including covers of "Liar" by recent Exclaim! interviewee Romy, "Thick Skull" by Julien Baker, "You First" by Remi Wolf, "Figure 8" by Bartees Strange, and "C'est Comme Ça" by Wet Leg's Rhian Teasdale.

No further details on a tracklist quite yet, but you can see the band's post below.
