Owen Pallett's 2020 has already included a Les Mouches reunion and a film score at Sundance. Now, he's also revealed plans for a new album, in addition a look backward at his work as Final Fantasy.
Today, Pallett announced that Final Fantasy albums Has a Good Home and He Poos Clouds have received the reissue treatment, while also teasing that a new solo effort titled Island is "coming very soon, you won't have long to wait <3."
Remastered digital reissues of both 2005's Has a Good Home and 2006's He Poos Clouds are now available on streaming services through Domino. Both albums were remastered last year by João Carvalho at Toronto's Revolution Recording.
Pallett confirmed that vinyl editions of the remastered albums would touch down later this year "along with some other, rarer stuff from that era :)." In the meantime, the digital editions are available to stream and purchase.
Island will mark the follow-up to Pallett's 2014 solo album In Conflict, which Exclaim! named one of the 50 Best Canadian Albums of the 2010s.
Pallett's composition skill recently got him featured in Exclaim!'s list of Canadians Who Score.
