Embrace the Wretched Flesh is played with the ferocity of grindcore, its unrelenting vigour spread throughout so that even the slower bits feel powerful, as in the foreboding segue of "The Proclaim of Hatred," or on the Cursed-by-way-of-Norway tune "Calloused Embrace." An equally sudden transition in the midsection of "Ignore Their Remorse" leads to a frantic freak-out.
