OBEY Convention is set to descend upon Halifax for its ninth consecutive year this spring, bringing music and arts across the city from May 26 to 29. Events are scheduled to take place in a variety of parks, churches, libraries, concert halls and nightclubs, and organizers have just revealed who some of the performers gracing the unconventional stages will be.
Mykki Blanco, Zs, Marie Davidson, Nadja and New Fries lead this year's lineup, with more than two dozen artists still to be announced in the coming weeks.
In addition to musical performances, the festival will also be holding artist talks, a bell walk, installations, workshops and a multi-city collaboration with Weird Canada's Drone Day.
This year, for the first time, all unlicensed events will be free to attendees under 19. For those looking to get the full festival experience, though, early bird passes are currently available for $68.66 over here.
Keep an eye on OBEY Convention's official website for full details and forthcoming updates.
