The Oasis reunion might just prove that little inkling of suspicion we've all had that the Gallagher brothers' long history of marding has all just been an elaborate ruse for the press. Or, you know, many large audiences may get to witness Liam throwing a guitar at Noel! Who knows!
A little more information about the return of Oasis has potentially come along now, and boy, it's good news. Back when the Gallaghers finally putting aside their differences was still merely a rumour, The Sun reported that the lineup would just be Noel and Liam, with Noel's High Flying Birds band backing them.
However, The Standard now reports that Paul "Bonehead" Arthurs — a co-founding member of Rain, the band that became Oasis when the Gallaghers were brought in, who primarily served as the Oasis rhythm guitarist (although he occasionally played bass and keyboard) — will be joining the brothers for the reunion tour. Fans have also pointed to the fact that Bonehead commented two hearts on the reunion announcement on Instagram.
The UK newspaper added that additional reunion shows will be announced once the current run sells out. A previous press release already noted that fans can expect the OASIS LIVE '25 tour to expand to other continents beyond the UK and Ireland later next year.
Bonehead quit the band in 1999 in favour of remaining with his family in Manchester, where he built his own recording studio and had a short stint playing in Liam's Beady Eye project, as well as backing that particular Gallagher at a few big performances over the years.
It remains unclear as of yet whether any other additional former Oasis members will be in the fold for the concerts, but stay tuned for updates.
