In honour of its silver anniversary, Nova Scotia Music Week will bring artists, fans and industry professionals to Sydney, NS, from November 3 to 6.

Returning to Cape Breton for the first time since 2013, the festival will see some of Nova Scotia's finest performing, including Botfly, Burry, Rankin MacInnis, Persephone and more.

"The Cape Breton Music Industry Cooperative (CBMIC) is excited to see NSMW returning to Sydney in November 2022," said Duane Nardocchio, Executive Director of CBMIC. "Cape Breton is a broad and proud music community. The absence of so many live music events over the past two years has left profound effects on the local industry. We, like so many others, have great hope that 2022 will have us all returning to the business as we are meant to do."

In addition to performances, the festival will host industry events like the "Future Builder" Conference, which will bring music industry movers and shakers from the United Kingdom and the United States, as well as others from across Canada and Europe, through Music Nova Scotia's international delegate program. These delegates will explore the secrets behind playlisting, alternative careers, climate mitigation and much more.

Other Nova Scotia Music Week events will include a Support4Culture Mentorship Cafe and multiple deep-dive round tables.

"After the postponement of NSMW 2020 due to COVID-19, we feel strongly about the legacy of supporting the continued success of the industry in Cape Breton and across the province," shared Executive Director Allegra Swanson. "We look forward to showcasing Cape Breton and the talent from Nova Scotia to our international and domestic delegates."
