On February 25, German electro-pop survivors the Notwist will release their new album Close to the Glass, breaking a near six-year silence and kicking off their relationship with Sub Pop. Now, they've shared album track "Kong."
Here, they've abandoned any evidence of their glitchy history, mostly eschewing electronics in favour of warm, organic instrumentation like acoustic guitars and real-life drums. With a gentle melody and frontman Markus Acher's inimitable vocals, however, it's still the Notwist we know and love.
