Toronto ambient metal duo Northumbria have been offering up heady drones since 2011, with the atmospheric outfit's latest being a sublime and surreal suite called "The Silver Forest."
The three-part voyage opens with a misty veil of bowed guitars titled "Motion of Clouds," which blends into the blissful centrepiece "The Sun Also Rises." Despite an ominous bass tone ushering us into the finale, the track closes out with an optimistic, if hazy melody.
