All The Best Songs

BY Ty TrumbullPublished Aug 14, 2007

In case you couldn’t tell by the title, this is a "best of” album. Looking at the track listing gives you an idea of just how extensive this band’s catalogue is, which is made even more impressive considering the group’s first two (pre-Fat) albums aren’t represented. All The Best Songs features 24 tracks from the band’s Fat releases and two previously unreleased numbers. If you take the time to familiarise yourself with the chronology of the songs it’s possible to see the growth the band have undergone. But for the unfamiliar, the songs have the potential of bleeding together a tad too much. The two new songs don’t stand out from the crowd, except for the slightly cleaner production, and they don’t make this record a must-have for the average NUFAN fan. This works best as an introduction to the band, or as part of a hardcore fan’s collection.
