In our review of Nils Frahm's 2013 live, Spaces, we noted how powerful the German experimental pianist's concerts can be. This fall, North American audiences will have another opportunity to experience this in person when he comes to our continent for a tour.
The outing will last for two and a half weeks in November. In that time, Frahm will start on the West Coast, playing a show in Vancouver on November 6 and eventually making his way to the eastern half of the continent for shows in Toronto on November 19 and in Montreal on November 22. There are also a generous selection of U.S. gigs. See the schedule below.
This tour is still half a year away. In the meantime, Frahm will spend the summer playing a steady smattering of international shows. See his worldwide itinerary here.
Frahm recently completed a North American tour earlier this spring. He issued the following statement about the outing:
Touring the US again? Hope my folks at home wont get jealous, but it is just starting to become some serious fun! Expect me to return with more crazy ideas about how to wreck an old New York Steinway and more tips: how to manage traveling UNITED AIRLINES. There will be more half broken tape delays, overclocked synths and hopefully I can score another silly drum computer. I am very much looking forward!
Plus, if you want me back, I am coming. See you soon.
Tour dates:
11/06 Seattle, WA - The Showbox
11/07 Vancouver, BC - The Imperial
11/09 Portland, OR - Mississippi Studios
11/11 San Francisco, CA - Great American Music Hall
