What with all the red carpet events in their lives, Nicole Kidman and Lenny Kravitz's early 2000s relationship was hardly a secret. But in a new interview, the Hollywood actress has revealed that the couple were actually engaged.
The A-list actress is currently starring in HBO's Big Little Lies alongside Kravitz's daughter Zoë, and in an interview with The Edit, Kidman revealed that working with her new co-star was easy because she already knew her so well.
"Well, I knew Zoë because I was engaged to her father," Kidman told the magazine. "It's all in the family!"
The couple dated back in 2003, following Kidman's high-profile divorce from Tom Cruise in 2001. In 2007, she told Vanity Fair about a failed engagement, but didn't reveal her ex's name at the time.
For those who haven't been keeping up with their tabloid news over the last decade, Kidman has been married to country singer Keith Urban since 2006.
As she confirmed to The Edit, though, she still thinks Kravitz is "a great guy."
Big Little Lies premieres on HBO on February 19.
