British synth-rock legends New Order recently announced plans for their latest album Music Complete, and now they've offered up some insight into the special guests who will appear on that very record.
For the album, the band roped in Brandon Flowers, Iggy Pop and Elly Jackson of La Roux to add some collaborative flair to the forthcoming release.
As detailed in a press release, the Killers' frontman Flowers — who named his band after the fictional band in New Order's "Crystal" video — contributes vocals to the album's closing track "Superheated."
Iggy Pop, meanwhile, sings on "Stray Dog" making for "a brooding track that blends perfectly with the eclectic array of sounds on Music Complete." The punk singer's recorded appearance follows a live collaboration from last year that saw Iggy Pop joining New Order on stage for "Love Will Tear Us Apart" at a benefit show in New York.
Finally, Elly Jackson of La Roux fame is featured on "Tutti Frutti," "People on the High Line" and "Plastic." She formerly supported the band on their 2014 tour.
As previously reported, the band self-produced most of the album, though the Chemical Brothers' Tom Rowlands stepped into the producer role on "Singularity" and "Unlearn This Hatred." Stuart Price also get a co-producer credit on "Superheated."
Music Complete marks the band's first new full-length since 2005's Waiting for the Sirens' Call and is slated for release on September 25 via Mute. Scroll to the bottom of the page to check out the most recent album trailer.
