From one of the most prolific bands of the ‘90s comes yet another heaping portion of punk, and this time it’s in the form of rare singles, alternate takes, cover songs and live tracks. On The Big Combo, the Turks collect 16 songs that flow together so consistently, that it doesn’t really feel like an “odds and ends” compilation. There are the obvious tip-offs, like some minor production variances, but all in all, things roll along quite nicely. Standout tracks include “Job,” which is a cover of a Nubs song from 1980, “Feel It” from an old Sympathy For The Record Industry single, an alternate take of “Veronica Lake,” and a final mix of the Pagans cover, “Eyes of Satan.” A cool treat for New Bomb Turks fans.
