The New Bomb Turks Ready 20th Anniversary Edition of '!!Destroy-Oh-Boy!!' and 'Tapeworm Blues' Demos 10-inch

BY Gregory AdamsPublished Jun 13, 2013

The New Bomb Turks haven't issued an LP since 2002's The Night Before the Day the Earth Stood Still, and frankly, we're not holding our breath for a new full-length anytime soon. That said, the Ohio garage-punk group are ready to toast their 1993 debut !!Destroy-Oh-Boy!! with a deluxe vinyl reissue, which Crypt Records sets into stores July 23.

While it doesn't appear to feature any additional material, the high-octane outing will be fitted with a "super deluxe" gatefold cover and come packaged with liner notes from John Petkovic (Death of Samantha, Cobra Verde) and a number of musicians/fans.

Also being released through Crypt on July 23 is a new demos 10-inch from the New Bomb Turks dubbed Tapeworm Blues. The "crude, rude, and loud" EP was recorded in a Columbus, OH basement four months prior to !!Destroy-Oh-Boy!! and features four early takes on songs from that LP. It also includes two previously unreleased songs ("Tapeworm Blues" and "Drug Chicks").

To celebrate, the band play a hometown show June 29 at the Ace of Cups and will also hit up Europe for a few dates in the summer. You can see the schedule down below.

Tour dates:

6/29 Columbus, OH - Ace of Cups
7/4 Oslo, Norway - John Dee

7/5 Stockholm, Sweden - Debaser

7/6 Helsinki, Finland - Kuudes Aisti Festival

7/7 Gierle, Belgium - Sjock Festival
