New American Shame

New American Shame

Hailing from post-grunge suburban Seattle is New American Shame. This is replete with all the trappings of ‘80s hair metal — flames, leather, salacious sneers and a cover shot of a nude blonde beauty draped over an American flag, but without the hair. The music? Think AC/DC. Or perhaps the Cult doing AC/DC. But at least the singer of this band does a better impersonation of Bon Scott than Ian Astbury. Also in their favour is the fact they don’t take themselves as seriously as Buckcherry and therefore, pull the rock star thing off a little more convincingly.
