Neurosis

In order to battle the numerous Neurosis bootlegs that have seen the light of day recently, the band have decided to start releasing live recordings to battle back against the bootleggers. The first instalment in what hopefully will become an ongoing series is a great recording of the band, live in Lyon, France, in 1999. It was a show in support of their Times Of Grace album and it finds the band concentrating on material off that album and its predecessor, 1996's Through Silver In Blood (it also includes a great version of the Enemy of The Sun album track "Lost"). If you have ever seen the band live, you know that Neurosis is a loud, menacing and often ferocious beast when on stage, and this record is a great aural document of that.
