Neon, Neon

Neon, Neon are the duo of Gruff Rhys and Boom Bip creating hip-pop electronic music. If you haven’t heard of them, brace yourself, as you soon will. With their album due out in May, the buzz has been ridiculously high, and for good reason: they make ’80s samples sound hip and synthesisers sound relevant. The CD sampler has a mix of six songs that don’t sound anything remotely like each other and this keeps the listener interested in the variety. The best songs are "I Lust U” and "Fast Car.” Don’t sleep on these guys; they’ll be your favourite rapper’s favourite band in no time.
