Neil Young's Archives Volume II: 1972–1976 has been out in the world for some time now, meaning a new, previously unreleased version of his '76 tune "Stringman" has finally been delivered into the world, as promised.
Young has also now brought the song out into the digital world, and shared its accompanying music video, piecing together old-timey black-and-white shots of himself on the piano, paired with the song's lyrics.
According to Sugar Mountain, "Stringman" has only ever been performed live 11 times since Young first brought it to the stage in London on March 31, 1976, where this version was recorded.
Archives Volume II is still sold out online, but thankfully you can still hear "Stringman" in the video below.
