Napalm Death Announce Canadian Tour, Set to Work on New Album

BY Gregory AdamsPublished Jun 30, 2011

Grind pioneers Napalm Death blasted their way into our hearts nearly 30 years ago, and luckily the love affair is still just as intense. The long-running English metal extremists have announced that they have begun recording a new album, their 14th overall. And on top of that, the band will be paying Canada a visit on an Ontario-heavy tour.

As Blabbermouth reports, the group have entered Kettering, UK recording facility Parlour Studios with producer Russ Russell to lay down some no doubt brutal tunes. The set is expected to drop in October via Century Media Records.

With a new album set for a fall release, the band will be taking their show on the road. And lucky for us, the group have announced they will be hitting up Canada first. A cross-country schedule is slowly rolling out, with dates already announced in Ontario, Quebec, Manitoba and the Maritimes. More dates are also expected to be announced soon. Check out currently scheduled stops below.

And while Napalm Death haven't issued a full-length since 2009's Time Waits for No Slave, the extreme outfit just dropped new tune "Legacy Was Yesterday" through Decibel Magazine's flexi-disc series. You can stream the song below. It's unknown whether this track will appear on the as-of-yet untitled new disc.
