Music is all about nuance, which is why it's particularly funny that the whole "good vs. bad" debate often tends to lack so much of it. Last week's less-than-heroic return of two decades-stale "Is Meg White a good drummer?" discourse is a shining example — although it was well-timed for Courtney Love and her op-ed on misogyny in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

Jack White himself gave a poetic response to the Twitter-fuelled sound-off, and now Dave Grohl's nemesis and drumming prodigy Nandi Bushell has joined the fight in Meg's honour. The pint-sized rockstar posted a video of her playing "Seven Nation Army" on a kit with "MEG" and hearts painted on in white. (Ha, like the stripes!)

"Meg White is my Hero," she wrote (via her parents, who manage her account). "The first day I got drums my dad showed me the video of 'Seven Nation Army.' I saw Meg playing the drums and thought she was the coolest person in the world. I still do."

The 49-second clip includes some brief footage at the end of that very first day behind the kit, with Bushell as an itty-bitty toddler slamming on the kit — which she later knocks over in the heat of White Stripes-fuelled passion — while her dad strums an acoustic guitar.

She imparted some of her sage wisdom in a continued thread, writing:

The more I learn about music, the more I realize that songs, and art, are created to wake emotions deep inside the soul. No matter how fast my fills get or number rudiments I learn. If I can't write a song that moves people, then can't call myself an artist. Meg and Jack wrote some of the best songs in #rock #history. They moved me at 5 years old to want to play the drums and still move me today! My screams are for you Meg! You are and always will be my role model and hero! Nandi
