"This one is for you, Professor Peart"

Drumming prodigy Nandi Bushell continues to be absolutely peerless at her young age: in her latest video, she's taken her skills to the next level by covering the insurmountable "Tom Sawyer" by Rush in honour of Neil Peart.

"This one is for you, Professor Peart," Bushell wrote in the video's description.

She continued:

I wanted to try a Rush song that would really challenge me. I watched an interview where the Professor said that "Tom Sawyer," "remains so difficult to play" — so I thought I would give it a try. It's actually really fun to play. I really hope I have done the song justice. Professor Peart's playing is incredible. I hope I got the strength and smoothness balance right.

"I have a newfound love for Rush now too," the drum whiz added.

Bushell looks like she was having the time of her life as she rocked out to the canonical prog rock classic from 1981's Moving Pictures. She — needless to say — nailed her rendition, grinning all the while.

Last year, Bushell finally joined her nemesis Dave Grohl's Foo Fighters live in concert. We're also still anxiously awaiting the tiny rocker's song with Tom Morello.
