After having to postpone their North American reunion tour earlier this year, My Chemical Romance have finally announced their rescheduled dates.
The tour will now begin in September 2021, in Philadelphia, PA. As was previously scheduled, MCR will still make only one stop in Canada — now scheduled to take place at Toronto's Scotiabank Arena on September 9, 2021. They'll close out the tour with a four-night stay in Los Angeles in mid-October.
News of the rescheduled tour comes today via the band's social media.
"It is a long time away, and there is so much for all of us to do to make the world a better place in the interim," the band wrote in an Instagram post. "We cannot wait to play for you. Take care of each other and yourselves."
They also announced that all previously purchased tickets will be honoured on the new dates, and are eligible for a refund if ticketholders can no longer make the concert.
So far, MCR have not revealed plans for a new record. Their most recent release was 2010's Danger Days: The True Lives of the Fabulous Killjoys.
