These days, Mother Mother are a major-label rock powerhouse, but the Vancouver band have revisited their roots as a folk trio with an acoustic performance video for their song "Kept Down."
In its studio form on the recent Very Good Bad Thing, the song is a dark electronic number with punchy drum machines and eerie synths. Here, however, it's a melancholic, folksy ballad that highlights the impeccable harmonies of Ryan Guldemond, Molly Guldemond and Jasmin Parkin.

Very Good Bad Thing is out now on Universal Canada. As previously reported, Mother Mother are currently out on a Canadian tour, and you can see all the dates here.
