Mo'Horizons

Remember Tomorrow

BY Romina WendellPublished Feb 1, 2002

In Remember Tomorrow, Mo'Horizon's Ralf Droesemeyer and Mark Wetzler continue on with the jazzy, Afro-Brazilian sound of their first CD, Come Touch the Sun. Recalling the Latin lounge sound of the '50s and '60s, Mo Horizons masterfully brings it into the 21st century with a good dose of modern breaks and an electronic kick. The bossa nova and boogaloo of Remember Tomorrow keeps things playful in between regular doses of jazzy downbeat, and numbers such as the bossa-imbued reworking of the Ray Charles classic "Hit the Road Jack" and the funkified "Alive Tonight" will likely shake even the most non-retro loving hips on to the dance floor.
