Punky Pennsylvanians Modern Baseball are one of a few bands teaming up for a charity EP called Strength in Weakness, which is due out on February 3 through Lame-O Records, and they've rolled out their contribution ahead of time. It's called "Alpha Kappa Fall of Troy Part Deux."
The song is punchy with its hard-hitting rhythms and heavily distorted guitars, but the tone here is one of thoughtful melancholy. Much of the focus is on the melancholic lyrics, which tell of hanging out in the basement alone, alternately drinking coffee and alcohol.

Strength in Weakness also features Beach Slang, Hurry, Spaynard, the Weaks and Marietta. Proceeds go to United Cerebral Palsy.
