The title does the most adequate job of summing up drummer turned DJ Misstress Barbara's second release of super-energised techno. Relentless Beats showcases Misstress Barbara's signature drummy, funky style that runs hard and fast with selections from the likes of Mateo Murphy to Mr. Spliffs. Misstress Barbara keeps the groove thick and the beats, as promised, relentless, finishing off with a surprisingly downbeat number, "4 Rules 4 Love," by Barbara Brown. It is one of the CD's best tracks, letting you come down gently from the thump and funk.
