Miss May I

At Heart

As a question, "Miss, may I?" suggests a certain level of decorum, but the usage here is actually as the moniker of a metal band. However, the polite nature of the phrase is also very applicable, as Miss May I are a metal band with very little bite or aggression. The group, on their newest album, At Heart, are like a bastardized conglomeration of old metalcore (melodic death metal, plus breakdowns) and new (breakdowns, plus, well, breakdowns), but unfortunately for Miss May I, they mostly tour with the latter. Mercifully free of keyboards, though the acts the tour with may unfairly place them into the "breakdown, synth, repeat" crowd, it also helps them stand out. Miss May I aren't the most metal band, but they could be much worse.
