Misguided

Fuggets

One, two, three, four! This influential hardcore band might just be a great example of hardcore at its worst. One of the first NYC thrash bands, they apparently set the stage for a lot of good music to follow, but it’s hard to see how. The band’s most recent release, Fuggets, spans the band’s three-year career with a lot of demo songs, a lot of live songs, some bonus tracks and a few covers, including a bad rendition of the Beatles’ "I Wanna Be Your Man.” The production on the CD is generally terrible, as not unexpected from an early ’80s punk band, and most of the songs are under the two-minute mark. Obviously this is for fans of the specific genre and era, as the songs all run together and start to sound the same.
