It's been a while since we've heard from Miguel, but the R&B singer has returned with a surprise EP titled nwa.hollywooddreams.coffee — and evidently he hasn't lost his mojo.
The three-track set opens with "NWA," which is driven by funky percussion, the rhymes of rapper Kurupt and Miguel's signature sensual croon. "Hollywood Dreams" toys with distorted guitars, while closer "Coffee" mellows things out a bit with its lo-fi, synth-pop vibe and nostalgia for "drugs, sex and polaroids."
There's no word yet on an upcoming follow-up to 2012's Kaleidoscope Dream, but for now, you can spin the new digital EP below.
