Michou

It's obvious when someone who possesses talent knows that they're lucky and able to spread happiness to others. This kind of shine ― a colourful gloss that can be found when someone actually flashes a genuine smile or takes a moment to really put their all into something ― is contagious and feels good. This lives in Windsor, ON-bred band Michou and can be heard on their sophomore album. They have youth and a carefree attitude, as evidenced by their music and lyrics. While the music is kept simple and light, with frontman Mike Hargreaves' vocals often cascading over high keyboard notes, trumpet, an acoustic guitar, bass and drums, the lyrics show they're starting to tackle more grown-up issues (or merely romantic moments of intoxication) and learning how to maintain their young enthusiasm through the thick of it all.
