Last year, Merchandise frontman Carson Cox debuted his new project Death Index, a band he shares with Marco Rapisarda. Keeping things within the theme of death, the duo have signed with Deathwish Inc. and announced plans for their debut album.
A press release compares the band to both the Birthday Party and Suicide, saying, "Death Index has yielded an album that has more in common with the primordial days of art punk than anything out there today."
That said, the band are certainly far more aggressive than any of those references suggest. You can sample their music with the new music video for album track "Little 'N' Pretty" available below [via Brooklyn Vegan].
Deathwish Inc. will deliver Death Index on February 26.
