Following the release of this year's Player Piano, Memory Tapes has unloaded a new 23-minute slab of new music.
Called Slaughtered, the mix was made for the Modcast series and features a selection of previously unreleased Memory Tapes material.
Dayve Hawk apparently aimed to created a work of material that listens like a mix as opposed to something more traditional. In a statement, he explained, "I find I listen to mixtapes more than albums a lot of the time, so I wanted to make a new record in the form of a mixtape instead of a single or EP. It's all new, original Memory Tapes stuff just put together in the form of an extended mix."
