As if multiple tours with Slayer and Grammy noms weren't enough for prog-metal titans Mastodon, the guys now have their own line of beer. Well, kind of. It's limited to 200 bottles and is a fun, one-time run.
German fan Stephan Michel is the brains behind the very cool-looking Mastodon Premium Lager, reports Metal Hammer [via The Daily Swarm]. Michel's brewery, Mahr's Bräu, is pretty darn metal: not only did they produce this run of Masto-brew but Motörhead are apparently big fans and stop in whenever they're in town.
The lager gave Mastodon good reason to get to the Sonisphere Festival in Germany, where they recently played and got to sample the brew. After all, with only 200 bottles made, they had to be sure they got some for themselves.
