Massive Attack Plot First North American Tour in Four Years

For fans of the British trip-hop outfit Massive Attack, it was a long wait for the band's recent follow-up to 2003's 100th Window. But now that Heligoland is here, fans are waiting for just one more piece of the Massive Attack puzzle: some North American tour dates. Well, wait no further.

The band are taking Heligoland across the continent this May, with two-day stays in four major cities including Toronto, New York, Los Angeles and San Francisco. The band will wrap up the dates with an appearance at Washington's Sasquatch Festival.

It's a curiously short tour, especially considering the band's lengthy four-year absence from North American stages. No Chicago? No Montreal? No Boston or Vancouver? Oh well, you take what you get, right?

No word on who's supporting the shows yet, but if they rope in even a couple of the guests who featured on the album, it'd be pretty sweet.

Tour dates:

5/7 Toronto, ON - Sound Academy
5/9 Toronto, ON - Sound Academy
5/11 NYC, NY - Terminal 5
5/12 NYC, NY - Terminal 5
5/18 Los Angeles, CA - Wiltern Theater
5/19 Los Angeles, CA - Wiltern Theater
5/25 San Francisco, CA - Warfield Theater
5/27 San Francisco, CA - Warfiled Theater
5/30 Gorge, WA - Sasquatch Festival
