As a last minute piece of pre-release promotion for their long-awaited sophomore LP Free the Universe, Major Lazer made their way to Late Night with Jimmy Fallon last night (April 11) to perform an extra-laid-back version of their reggae track "Get Free."
Sampler twisters Diplo and Walshy Fire and single-singer Amber Coffman were joined by a number of musicians on the full-band run-through, including Coffman's Dirty Projectors bud Dave Longstreth on guitar and various members of the Roots (aka Fallon's backup group). While Diplo bounced and mouthed the words to the island-hop, the star was fittingly the powerfully voiced Coffman.
