Last month, Canadian hip-hop heads young and old got a taste of both the old-school and the new when '80s trailblazer Maestro performed his classic "Let Your Backbone Slide" with Shad and K-os. Shad tackled one of the song's verses, and clearly the Maestro was impressed, as it's been announced the two have cut a new tune together.
A tweet on Fresh Wes's Twitter account confirms that he and the Juno-winning West Coast rapper recently collaborated on a track for his as-of-yet unannounced new album.
"Look out for PRAISE DA LORD. Another new joint i got feat. Shad. Just recorded it last nite. Cuts by Dopey," Maestro wrote.
There's no word on when we will hear "Praise Da Lord," but hopefully, the classic Canuck rapper leaks some new tunes soon. This will be the first full-length from Maestro since 2000's Ever Since.
