Who are you?
Maestro
What are you up to?
Just dropped my new album Ever Since.
Hometown and current HQ:
Scarborough
Current fixations:
Watching scantily clad women, reading Rich Dad, Poor Dad by Robert T. Kiyosaki, just discovered cappuccino (I am hooked!)
Mind altering work of art:
M.O.P Warriors
Most memorable/inspirational gig? And why?
Public Enemy, 1989, Ottawa. The energy level was unmatchable.
What should everyone shut up about?
Eminem vs. Canadian border.
Your greatest strength/weakness:
Strengths: personality (so I am told), passion for what I am doing. Weakness: organisation.
Your vital daily ritual:
Prayers
Guilty pleasure:
I feel no guilt for pleasure.
If I wasn't playing music I would be:
Playing football or producing.
Your most memorable day job:
Wizards (now Just Desserts), that's where Farley (manager) and I first met.
Best/worst advice received:
Best: "Keep doing your thing," Quincy Jones Worst: "Don't go to university," high school guidance teacher
I would drop everything to play a benefit for:
Nelson Mandela
What makes you want to take it off and get it on?
My girlfriend.
What personal trait would make you kick someone out of your band and/or bed? And have you?
Inadequate performance. Have I ever kicked someone out of bed for it... Nah, but don't push it.
When I think of Canada I think
Beer, hockey, rock'n'roll and chicken wings.
Music and sex: Is there a difference? Why?
Of course, the two hit different emotions and music isn't always physical.
Strangest brush with celebrity:
Gene Simmons at the Four Seasons; he tried to pick up my date.
What does your mom wish you were doing instead?
Doctor, lawyer, accountant, steel pan player... basically anything but a rapper.
